I am an experienced Software Engineer with a background in Configuration Management, Full Stack Development and architecting Automation Solutions in Agile enviroment. Currently, I am pursuing Masters in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.

  • Piloted the formation of Puppet CoE team at SGGSC, Bangalore.
  • Honored with Young Graduate of the Year award and promoted to Specialist Software Engineer for contribution in Team Formation.
  • Implemented CIS Benchmark rules (250+) for RedHat 6,7 leading to SWIFT Compliance on 40000+ servers over AMER, ASIA and EUR regions.
  • Coded a Proof of Concept for a dashboard tracking Compliance Status based on CIS benchmarks and saving 60% in license costs for redundant Qualys Scans.
  • Created Puppet Modules for mass deployment of various agents like Zabbix, Beats, Networker, etc. using base profile Implementation for RedHat and AIX, leading to 65% decrease in reported Incidents.
  • Handled Code Reviews(for Puppet) as part of Infrastructure As Code Team.
  • Architected an asynchronous model for Automation of Manual Prechecks on RedHat Linux based on Puppet, Python, RabbitMQ, MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Achieved 99.2% increase in efficiency and 80% reduction in Manual Intervention, recording an all-time high of 12000 servers patched in a day.

    Interests

    Apart from being a student currently, I enjoy travelling and new experiences. In the US, I try to travel and see new places while back in India, I loved to hang out with my friends.

    When forced indoors, I usually spend my time cooking, playing FIFA and following SOCCER. Huge Manchester United fan who likes throwing parties. Also when alone, I like writing utility scripts and automating my home center.
